- Design kitchen, bath, and other remodel/addition projects.
- Respect the client’s budget. Present them with at least one design option that meets their budget.
- Use 2020 software for design, drafting, and pricing for all for projects requiring cabinetry.
- Take on-site measurements and then create “as-built” drawings using various programs (SketchUp, Revit).
- Produce hand-sketched schematic design options as well as computer rendered options.
- Clearly present design options and materials during client meetings either in the design center or Zoom
- meetings using PowerPoint.
- Get clients to make decisions.
- Create and maintain a detailed product selection list for each client’s project in Excel
- Work with our custom and non-custom cabinetry lines. Develop a strong knowledgeable of cabinetry spec
- books and samples in our Design Center.
- Keen eye for details – able to review and note drawings pertaining to interior finishes.
- Specify appropriate interior finishes for specific applications and budgets.
- Coordination of new cabinetry samples, displays, updating vendor pricing and maintaining selections area.
- Ordering of cabinetry-related items for the Melton Home Care and Repair department.
- Proficient with ordering all cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, hardware, and lighting fixtures for your projects.
- Obtain quotes for plumbing fixtures, countertops, tile, and shower glass.
- Periodic on-site meetings during the construction process.

4. Active involvement in learning about local market conditions and how they apply to the business in order to properly market and compete in marketplace.
5. Learn all aspects of the cabinet business and skills required to sell as well as provide the proper training necessary to develop a seasoned sales staff.
6. Monitor job gross margins and maximum job profitability.
7. Identify builder customer candidates who are potential customers to establish first contact by referring those customers with the correct sales representative.
8. Review quotes and orders to identify staff training needs.
9. Monitor and assist in business functions such as payables, job billing, collections, and outstanding accounts receivable balances.
10. Enforce company policies and procedures and provide necessary training to demonstrate outstanding customer service.
11. Establish annual budgets and set goals for business to attain.
12. Perform periodic showroom staff reviews, recommend merit increases, and identify areas for improvement.

- Teach a 2.5-hour Intro to Kitchen & Bath Design course one day per week for 6 weeks, 3 times per year in the fall, winter and spring. Curriculum developed.
- Develop curriculum for an Advanced Kitchen & Bath Design course and teach for 2 hours, 1 day per week for 6 weeks, 3 times per year in the fall, winter and spring. Intro to K&B and Advanced K&B are not offered simultaneously.
- Ensure student achievement of learning objectives as well as student engagement and satisfaction by providing guidance and assistance to students as needed on all projects and assignments.
- Measure and grade student comprehension of assignments and final project against learning objectives. Provide leadership, feedback and critique on student final project presentations.
- Maintain and improve current curriculum content, presentation and instructional materials as needed, based on collaboration with the Director and as measured by student performance, feedback and direct observation.
- Use technology to enhance teaching and the educational experience when appropriate.
- Embrace and carry out the mission and values of Heritage School of Interior Design in all teaching endeavors.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Kitchen & Bath designer and currently working in this capacity.
- Proficiency with a current version of AutoCAD and SketchUp in a kitchen & bath design application.

Must be comfortable working indoors as well as out and in all elements. Also requires walking stone yard with customers.
Hours would be Mon- Fri 8:00- 4:30 and must be willing to work one Saturday a month (9-4pm).
Natural stone and design experience preferred but not necessary, we will train the right person with the right attitude.
Must have a professional presentation for our showroom.
Benefits include
$35k -$40K depending on experience. Will review in 90 days.
